Solution: How Hetronic’s collaboration with RIMAC resulted in a world-class radio remote control.
Hetronic’s experienced application engineers worked closely with RIMAC to define all the functional and safety requirements of the new control system for the automation of their equipment. The project is built around the Hetronic MLC (Machine Logic Controller) receiver – a high-end cost-effective and compact embedded control solution supporting a wireless radio interface. The MLC controls the machine both in manual mode without radio or with Hetronic’s latest addition to the NOVA transmitter family, a NOVA XL 4.3 belly box unit with a 4.3 inch color display to provide a seamless HMI to the end user. All outputs and inputs can be controlled directly as well on the external panel over CAN bus communication. Hetronic obtained customer approval after an extensive evaluation of the design by RIMAC and presented functional prototype units for validation.
Hetronic was successful in meeting the requirements for a flexible, cost competitive wireless radio remote control solution for RIMAC’s jaw crushers. The new design is not only safer but has helped RIMAC improve the efficiency and productivity of its equipment. As a result, Hetronic’s and RIMAC’s collaborative engineering effort expanded RIMAC customers’ capabilities and giving RIMAC a one stop shop solution provider to rely on.
